Hi all!
I have spent the past 3 weeks in Gainesville, GA! My first week was filled with adjustment and it went by pretty slow, but the 2 weeks after have absolutely flown by! I wanted to share my schedule so you could see what I’ve been up to!
My schedule Monday-Friday remains pretty steady.
6:30; I wake up!
7:00; Quiet time with the Father! I am currently reading through Mark.
8:00; Breakfast! We rotate through several different options, my favorite being the blueberry muffin with a hard boiled egg.
9:00; Devo time! On Monday’s my squad deep dives into James. Tuesday-Thursday we have independent devos. I typically take the hour to sit and meditate with the Father as well as have a conversation with Him through prayer.
10:00; Our first session! Topics vary, but I always leave convicted and educated.
12:00 Campus cleaning! This looks like refilling toilet paper in the portas, filling up our water buckets, taking out trash, and cleaning showers.
12:30; Lunch! My favorite lunch so far has been a buffalo chicken wrap.
1:30; Freetime! I love to nap, read a good book, or talk with my squamates.
3:00; Squad time! We rotate through move yo body, fundraising, story telling and squad fun. I am on the squad fun committee, so I get to help plan squad fun!
4:00; Our second session!
5:00; Dinner!
6:00; Team time! We rotate between debrief, gratitude, bible study, and feedback.
7:00; Either women’s night, worship, or movie night depending on the day.
8:00; Freetime! I typically end my night in the word or in a book.
11:00 Lights out!
Saturday and Sunday serve as Sabbath days for us. We’re allowed to take a trip into town on Saturdays. And we have squad church on Sundays. Otherwise, we rest in each others presence and with the Father. This looks like naps, worship, and studying the word.
Life here is pretty sweet. I am doing my best to soak it all in before my time on AIM’s base is up! In just under 2 weeks I’ll be going with my squad to Huma, LA for our 2 week domestic mission. And around November 4th, we will be flying out to Romania! Crazy crazy!!
It is so good to learn about you. I will be your host in Romania. Praise God for people like you that are willing to share the Gospel. https://togetherformission.com/team/raul-costea/
